In July 2008, we returned to the Walnut Grove test location with upgraded drifters. This was the first field test of the ZigBee short range radios, which proved to be very useful for keeping track of the devices. The scope of the test was the same as in our earlier experiment: observing the tidal inversion at the junction of the Sacramento River and Georgiana Slough.
